Time catching up with Andrus, Isiah Kiner-Falefa to start at SS

Father time can be a real SOB and it is catching up to the Rangers shortstop position once again. The Texas Rangers infield will look a little bit different in 2021, specifically at shortstop and third base. Just when the Rangers are wanting to play the young guys, Isiah Kiner-Falefa will slide over to short. This further proves that we will see a younger team take the field in 2021. Evan Grant, of the Dallas Morning News, is the beat-writer who broke the news. Anyone remember the Michael Young

Isiah Kiner-Falefa is worth Gold, wins American League Gold Glove

Isiah Kiner-Falefa has won the Rawlings Gold Glove award at third base in the American League. The Rangers have had three third-basemen win the award in the past. Besides IKF winning this year, future Hall of Famer Adrian Beltré won the award three times and Buddy Bell won six. Defensively, Isiah Kiner-Falefa was excellent at third and was one of the bright spots for the Rangers this year. He had 8 Rdrs and had a fielding percentage of .959 at third base. Lance Lynn earns 6th win as Rangers record 17th win

Lance Lynn did his thing on the mound yesterday in the Rangers 6-3 win over the Athletics yesterday. He pitched seven strong innings allowing only 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 10 Athletics. Seeing a line like that, makes me glad that we didn't trade Lynn if it wasn't for a teams top 5 prospect. On a 17-win team, Lance Lynn has six of those wins. Jonathan Hernández (2.81) pitched the top of the 8th inning. He allowed a home run and struck out one in his inning of work. Rafael Mont

Rangers lose to the Athletics by a touchdown, 10-3

Losing has been a common theme recently for our Texas Rangers. You can't blame it all on the pitching. The blame can easily be spread to the defense and we'll hand some of it to the offense as well. The Rangers lose to the Athletics by a final of 10-3 and are now 11-18 on the season. The Athletics scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th to effectively end the hopes of the Rangers trying to claw their way back. At that point the Rangers had no fight in them. Well touch on this in a bit but the star o

Rangers call up multiple Prospects including clase

The Texas Rangers made quite a bit of moves today that I consider to be the first wave of the future. Isiah Kiner-Falefa is back from Double-A. Catcher, Jose Trevino has been promoted from Triple-A Nashville as well as Scott Heineman. Last but not least, Emmanuel Clase was promoted from Double-A Frisco. I fully expect more moves to come, if not now, in September for the call-ups. We?ll likely see Palumbo again and Brock Burke will make his debut as well I expect. We should see a number of infie
