Rangers Will Have Opportunity to Add High Level Talent With First Pick
The 2024 MLB draft is coming up soon on July 14. For the first time it will take place right here in my hometown, the great city of Fort Worth. The last three years, the Rangers have drafted in the first four picks of the draft. It has always been an interesting exercise to study who the experts think the Rangers are going to draft. That has been fairly easy the last three years. This year, however, presents a while new challenge. Because the Rangers are the defending World Series Champion
What Has Every Ranger Improved On the Most?
Every team does their best to have a great player development system in the minors. While it’s great for an organization to have a farm system that can develop players, all of that is for naught if a player can’t continue their development in the major leagues. I’ll be looking at what every player on the roster has improved upon most since getting to the Rangers. Players that haven’t played at least one season with the Rangers will not be included. This means Grant Anderson, Cody Bradfo
Predicting the Rangers Lineup for the LAST Day of the Season
With Spring Training kicking off, there are plenty of roster and lineup projections for opening day. I believe the only questions for this Spring for the team is about Justin Foscue and Wyatt Langford. Foscue will almost certainly make the team out of camp and Langford will have to prove more that he deserves to make the team. With that being said, I will try my best to project the lineup for the last month/game of the season. 1. Evan Carter CF 2. Marcus Semien 2B 3. Corey Seager SS 4. Adol
4 Rangers Needing to Prove Themselves in 2024
With opening day right around the corner, the Rangers have more depth on their roster than they have had in years. In previous years players were able to prove themselves with very little pressure on them as the team had been in a much different situation. Coming off their fist World Series win in franchise history, the expectations are significantly higher than ever before. With the expectations so high these four players will try to prove themselves and cement their roster spots for all of 202
Mock Draft Consensus Eyes a New Walker, Texas Ranger
With the draft just a month away, it is time to take a look at who the Rangers could pick in the first round. The Rangers are drafting fourth. There seems to be a very solid consensus that there are five players in the upper tier of this draft. Some see two guys by themselves in a tier, and then three more in a close second tier. The five are as follows: 1. Dylan Crews, OF, LSU 2. Paul Skenes, RHP, LSU 3. Wyatt Langford, OF, Florida 4. Walker Jenkins, OF, South Brunswick High (Oak Island
Oh What a Beautiful Afternoon! (Rangers Opening Day 2023)
Green turf, fresh mound and plate prep, the smell of hot dogs, nachos and beer, the pop of the bat, the snap of the glove, the roar of the fans. There are so many intricate pieces that make the whole of the excitement of opening day. But we can't forget one of the biggest events in 2023 opening day; Jacob deGrom on the mound for the Rangers! By now I'm sure you all have heard about the new rules this year, but just in case I will catch you up with a brief overview. For better or worse, say g
Rangers roster moves August 28th: Santana back to IL
Prior to the start of the three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers the Texas Rangers roster moves were announced. Roster moves Danny Santana who just recently was activated is placed back on the 10-day IL retro to 8/27 with a right elbow sprain. Santana can't seem to catch a break with the injuries in this shortened season. 1st baseman Ronald Guzmán has been recalled from Alternate Training Site. Guzmán is my choice to be the starting 1st baseman for the Rangers. He's without a doubt,
