RoughRiders Draw Record Crowd but Fall 8-5 to Travelers
Baseball games around July 4th typically draw very large crowds, and tonight, Thursday, July 3, 2025, was no exception. An impressive 12,081 fans showed up at Riders Field, marking the largest crowd in Frisco RoughRiders franchise history. That beats the previous record set on Dude Perfect Night by 14 fans. Despite the electric vibe, the RoughRiders couldn’t pull off the win, falling 8-5 to the Travelers. Langford Homers in Rehab Start Outfielder Wyatt Langford, currently on an MLB rehab ass
Jose Fernandez takes the Texas League by Storm
Jose Fernandez has been the biggest suprise in Bomb City so far this season. The 21 year old has taken massive leaps from where he was just a year ago in High-A Hillsboro. The right handed hitter who has typically started slow in his young professional career, actually led the Texas League in AVG (among players still in the league, Peyton Wilson was promoted to Triple-A Omaha before the end of the month) at the end of April at .350. Fernandez is the 2nd youngest qualified hitter in the Texas Le

Giesting puts on a Show to Go 3-0, Soddies Double Their Way to a Win in Frisco
Once again when Amarillo needed him most, Spencer Giesting shoved, but tonight he had some help early. Before Spencer Giesting could even put his cape on tonight, the Amarillo offense finally popped early. The Sod Poodles hit 3 doubles off of Frisco starter Brett Anderson in the first inning alone, courtesy of Kristian Robinson, Christian Cerda, and Caleb Roberts. Amarillo would tally 5 hits in the first inning, giving them a 5-0 score before the Amarillo starter could even deliver a pitch. Befo

Coming into Thursday night Amarillo was 2-9, having not won a game since last Saturday, gearing up to face a Frisco team that already won the first two games of the series and sat in first place in the Texas League South at 8-3. Rangers' Prospects Rankings on Seven of This Spring's Top 100 Lists
This spring has seen several baseball publications publish their new Top 100 Prospects lists. They have all been consistent in which Rangers' prospects that they include in their lists. They all have Kumar Rocker, Alejandro Rosario and Sebastian Walcott included in some order. I have looked at seven different lists this spring.
