The RoughRiders lost by a final of 7-2 to the Bombers. Their record for is now 4-10 for the 30-game Texas Collegiate League season. All of the canceled games are counting against the loss column. This goes without saying but if they cannot make up the games that weren’t played, they literally have to win every game. The hope is that the RoughRiders will be able to make up any games cancelled.
The Brazos Valley Bombers record is now 7-4.
Riley Cornelio took the loss and was the starting pitcher for our RoughRiders and pitched three innings. He allowed three runs on two hits and four walks and he struck out one Bomber.
Kaden Krowka pitched two innings in relief. He allowed one run on one hit and his earned run average stands at 4.50.
Chase Lorg pitched two scoreless innings and only allowed one hit and walked one.
The Bombers scored three runs off Brennen Smith but only one was earned. He allowed three hits and walked three bringing his earned run average to 7.36.
The RoughRiders lineup managed 2 runs on four hits and no one had more than one hit.
The RoughRiders play the rubber game tonight that starts in just minutes. Then they will go to Amarillo to play the Sod Squad for a three game series. The Sod Squad have a 6-5 record.
