Texas Rangers Announce June Minor League Award Winners

Yesterday, the Texas Rangers announced the organization’s minor league award winners for June:

  • Player of the Month – INF Kleimer Lemos
  • Starting Pitcher of the Month – RHP Emiliano Teodo
  • Reliever of the Month – RHP Daniel Robert
  • Defender of the Month – INF Jax Biggers

Kleimer Lemos

Lemos, 19, had an outstanding month, slashing .453/.500/.813/1.313 with 4 home runs, 29 RBI, 3 triples, and 9 doubles over 18 games between the Dominican Summer League Rangers Red and Arizona Complex League Rangers in June.

He had multiple hits in 11 of 15 games, including a career-high 7 RBI performance on June 24 against the DSL Mets Orange.

Promoted to the ACL Rangers on June 25, Lemos went 4-for-13 (.308) with a triple, 2 doubles, and 3 RBI in his first stateside appearances.

The versatile switch-hitter played at three different infield positions, showcasing his defensive flexibility.

Emiliano Teodo

Teodo, 23, has had an impressive season with the RoughRiders, earning a 1-1 record with a 1.50 ERA and 40 strikeouts over 5 appearances in June. He held opposing batters to a .191/.314/.262/.576 slash line and recorded double-digit strikeout totals in two of his last three starts.

He’ll be representing the Rangers in the Futures Game that takes place at Globe Life Field on Saturday.

Teodo’s performance has been remarkable, ranking among the Texas League leaders in several pitching categories. Despite not yet receiving a promotion to Round Rock, it seems likely in his near future, although the Rangers seem to be careful not to rush him.

Daniel Robert

Robert, 29, was dominant in relief for Triple-A Round Rock, pitching 10 scoreless outings in June and striking out 12 of 39 batters without issuing a walk. Opposing hitters managed just a .053 average against him.

Robert’s impressive performance led to his contract being selected by the Rangers on July 8, marking his Major League Debut. He became the 207th further RoughRiders player to make they debut.

His journey from the 21st round of the 2017 MLB Draft to the majors is a testament to his hard work and perseverance.

Jax Biggers

Biggers, 27, was a defensive standout for Triple-A Round Rock, leading the team with 11 double plays over 22 games. He displayed his versatility by playing multiple positions and maintaining a high fielding percentage. Biggers’ consistent defensive contributions earned him well-deserved recognition.

Congratulations to all the Texas Rangers Minor League Players of the Month award winners. These awards highlight their hard work and exceptional performance over the entire month of June.
