Congratulations to Texas Rangers prospect Paulino Santana for earning the MVP award at the DSL All-Star Game!

The 17-year-old outfielder showcased his talents on July 21, 2024, going 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, and a stolen base.

Signed by the Texas Rangers on January 15, 2024, Santana has quickly made his mark. The right-handed hitter has excelled in his first professional season, posting an impressive slash line of .281/.460/.355/.815 with 18 RBIs, 33 walks, 26 strikeouts, and 15 stolen bases.

Although he has yet to hit a home run this season, scouts report that he possesses plus power potential.

One notable aspect of Santana's performance is his walk rate compared to his strikeout rate, demonstrating a keen eye at the plate.

At the time of his signing, Santana was ranked as MLB.com’s No. 2 international prospect. The future looks bright for this young talent in the Texas Rangers' farm system.
