Wyatt Langford has been the talk of the Texas Rangers farm system lately and it’s for good reason. He just had his first multi-home run game (2) as a professional tonight against the Amarillo Sod Poodles.

The RoughRiders won by a final of 10-1 and Langford was a big part of that went 2-for-3 with a 2-run HR and then later in the game hit a solo shot. He also worked two walks.

Langford has recently tapped into his power at the Double-A level. He hit his first home run last night (9/12) and then hit two tonight (9/13) for back-to-back games with a home run as well.

It took Wyatt Langford 35 games to have his first multi-home run game

It was his 8th game at the Double-A level. Not bad for the Texas Rangers fourth overall pick. At the time of this article, Langford has only struckout three times and has worked 9 walks. He is slashing a line of .385/.528/.846/1.374 with 3 home runs and 8 RBI.

There is no doubt in my mind that at his current trajectory, Wyatt Langford will be making his Debut for our Texas Rangers in 2024.
