Crim hit a 3-run walk off homer!
The Round Rock Express crowd at Dell Diamond was sent home happy when first baseman Blaine Crim, hit a 1-1 slider for the Express‘ first walk-off of the season. That home runs secured a 5-2 victory over the Toledo Mud Hens!
The home run came after Express reliever Luis Curvelo (W, 1-0) struck out the side in the top of the 9th to keep the game tied.
Game Summary
The Express held a 2-0 lead heading into the top of the 8th inning, but reliever Hunter Strickland (BS, 1) struggled, allowing 3 hits and 2 runs in 1 inning, letting the Mud Hens tie the game.
Pitching Breakdown
Starter Nolan Hoffman went 2.2 innings before being replaced by Cole Winn, who pitched 2.1 innings, allowing 1 hit, 2 walks, and recording 3 strikeouts.
Jacob Latz (H, 1) followed with 2 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 walk, and striking out 4. Luis Curvelo closed out the game with a dominant 9th inning, striking out all three batters to earn the win.
Offensive Highlights
Blaine Crim was the star of the night, going 3-for-4 with a triple (1), a home run (1), and 4 RBIs, including the walk-off blast that sent the home crowd into a frenzy. Alex De Goti also contributed, going 2-for-4 at the plate.
A lot of Rangers fans are paying attention to what Evan Carter is doing at the plate. He went 0-for-4 with a walk. He struckout twice.
