Minor-League baseball is closer to being back in Kinston, North Carolina. The Down East Wood Ducks 2021 schedule has been released.
The Down East Wood Ducks (Texas Rangers Low-A affiliate) open their season on the road on May 4, 2021 against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers, the Chicago White Sox affiliate.
Just like the Double-A schedule, each series is 6-games with Monday being an off day to allow time for travel. They will play 120 games with 60 at home and 60 away.
The home opener is scheduled for Tuesday May 11, 2021 against the Carolina Mudcats, the Milwaukee Brewers affiliate.
There will be plenty of chances to see the Wood Ducks at home at Grainger Stadium because there are 30 games that fall on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
