Frisco RoughRiders 2025 Break Camp Roster
Hey, RoughRiders fans! The Texas Rangers just dropped the Frisco RoughRiders 2025 Break Camp Roster. This Double-A squad is loaded with nine top 30 Rangers prospects and 23 returners, all set to make Riders Field the place to be in 2025. Let’s check out who’s taking the field!
Pitchers (16)
The RoughRiders are rolling out a 16-man pitching staff, with 14 returners bringing the heat.
RHP Winston Santos (No. 5 prospect) and LHP Kohl Drake (No. 13) are back to lead the rotation—Santos held hitters to a .221 average last year, while Drake racked up 148 strikeouts, the most by a Rangers prospect since 2012.
RHP Ben Anderson returns after leading the team with 20 starts and six quality outings in 2024.
In the bullpen, 2024 Rangers Minor League Reliever of the Year LHP Bryan Magdaleno is ready to lock things down with his 1.27 ERA from last season.
Veterans LHP Robby Ahlstrom, RHP Steven Jennings, and LHP Avery Weems bring experience with 99 combined appearances as RoughRiders—Weems even has a 2022 Texas League Championship ring!
Newcomers RHP Trey Supak, RHP Daniel Missaki, RHP Travis MacGregor, and RHP Peyton Gray add fresh arms. Missaki’s a cool story—he pitched for Brazil in the 2013 WBC at just 16!

The catching crew is a defensive wall, with Tucker Mitchell and Cooper Johnson returning after holding opponents to just 101 stolen bases in 2024—tied for the fewest among full-season Minor League teams.
Ian Moller joins them, making his Double-A debut after 84 games with High-A Hickory last year. These guys are ready to shut down the running game!

1B Abimelec Ortiz (No. 14) and SS Cam Cauley (No. 19) bring more prospect firepower, with Cauley making his Frisco debut after 35 extra-base hits and 27 steals in Hickory. Returners Frainyer Chavez, Keyber Rodriguez, and Alex De Goti—who’s got MLB experience with the Astros in 2021—round out a versatile group.

Alejandro Osuna (No. 8 prospect) earned 2024 Tom Grieve Player of the Year honors after leading the Texas League in hits (72), runs (46), and doubles (18) post-promotion. Josh Hatcher hit .300 last year, second among qualified Double-A hitters, while Luis Mieses and Aaron Zavala add consistency and speed.
