The Texas Rangers’ 2024 9th round pick from New Mexico State, 23-year-old Keith Jones II, was named the South Atlantic League Player of the Month for June, announced on Thursday.

Recently promoted to the Frisco RoughRiders, Jones II’s stellar performance with the Hub City Spartanburgers has marked him as a rising star in the Rangers’ farm system.

Dominant Season with Spartanburgers

Keith Jones II showcased his talent with the Hub City Spartanburgers, hitting .270/.406.451/.857 over 68 games. He smashed 10 home runs and drove in 35 RBIs. His power was evident with 13 doubles, and he added 15 stolen bases to his resume before his promotion to Frisco.

June’s Outstanding Stats

In the month of June, Keith hit .325, ranking 4th in the SAL. His slugging percentage soared to .614, leading the SAL. He posted a .440 on-base percentage, good for 2nd in the SAL, and an impressive 1.054 OPS, topping the SAL. He led the league with 9 doubles. His 5 home runs placed him 2nd in the SAL.
