Kumar Rocker continues to impress in Double A.
Rocker went 4 scoreless innings while just allowing a single to Ripken Reyes along with a single walk.
He struck out 4 batters and extended his scoreless inning streak to 7.
The dominance continues as he threw 32 of his 43 pitches for strikes and had an all around command of the strike zone.
He ended up hitting 97-99 with his fastball and he put away a lot of batters with his slider.
Rocker has looked back to his Vanderbilt days and the player that the Rangers were expecting when they picked him 3rd overall in 2022.
The Roughriders ended up falling to the Missions by a score of 5-2. Ripken Reyes broke the scoreless tie in the 5th inning with a 3 run double that cleared the bases.
Nick Krauth took the loss allowing 5 runs on 7 hits in 2.2 innings. His ERA went up to 5.75 after his outing.
In the 6th inning Cooper Johnson hit his 9th home run of the season and 33rd rbi as he is slashing .224.
Keyber Rodriguez doubled in Abimelec Ortiz in the 7th to get the 2nd Roughrider run of the night.
Even though the Roughriders lost, the Rangers must be happy with the progress of Rocker as he continues to push his way through Double A and he may end up forcing himself up to triple A before the year is over where he could be reunited with his college teammate Jack Leiter.
