Party Animals and Tailgaters set to take over Frisco

This Weekend in Frisco on the 5th and 6th, Riders field will be taken over by a bunch of Party Animals and Tailgaters! For the first time ever, Banana Ball is here in Frisco and will be played by one of the leagues newest teams the Texas Tailgaters as they face off against one of the founding teams, the Party Animals.

From trick plays to scores being based off singular innings rather than all 9 and fans being able to record outs, it’s a show you’ve quite literally never seen before.

Headlining the Party Animals will be former 2010 first round draft pick by the Texas Rangers and former UGA DB Jake Skole who leads the league in Home Runs, RBI’s, Average and OPS. He’s in line for the triple crown and is quite the tough out at the plate.

For the Texas Tailgaters it’s the man with the stache, Nick Lopez who’s taken the league by storm and slashing .371 on the year so far to go along with one of the lowest K % in the entire Banana Ball League. We have to also mention he’s fresh off his first MLB Park home run when he sent one over the RF wall out in Pittsburg last weekend.

If you’ve never seen Banana Ball you’re surely in for a treat this weekend as you’re going to see things you’ve quite literally never expected to see on a Baseball field. From Baby Races and Dance Numbers, to Boot Cleats and Drum sessions before the pitch and Hitting on a Unicycle it’s truly like nothing you’ve seen before, and nothing you’ll find anywhere else in the world. Now for anyone worried about the competition, let’s just say it’s fierce and it’s fantastic. From selections in the Top 3 Rounds of the MLB Draft, to All Americans, to Team USA members these boys truly can do it all at some of the highest levels of Baseball you’ll experience.

It’s fun, it’s wacky, it’s imaginative, it’s innovative, it’s the best thing since the Harlem Globetrotters took over the sports world just like this back in the 1940’s. However, these games don’t have a declared winner so you truly don’t know what could happen. The way the Banana’s have changed the game is truly unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Whether you like them they’re here, and they’re seemingly here to stay as they grow more and more popular each day and continues to sellout, Semi Pro parks, Collegiate parks, Minor League Stadiums, MLB Stadiums and have even gone on to sellout ACC Football and NFL Stadiums full of 70,000+ raging fans.

Don’t be surprised if you’re out in Frisco either night and fall in love with this new style and brand of baseball, also for all you Ranger fans that’ll be in attendance, don’t be surprised if we see a familiar face or two emerge from the dugouts to play a little Banana Ball. This weekend is truly set up to be one for the ages in Frisco and hope to see y’all there.
