The final game of this three game series started today at 1:05 PM at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi.
The big news of the day is that Willie Calhoun is now assigned to the alternate site after going through intake. He played left field and went 0 for 5 at the plate with two strikeouts.
On the mound
Right hander, Sam Gaviglio (1-0, 0.00) started for the Rangers against fellow right hander Cristian Javier (0.00) for the Astros.

Starter Sam Gaviglio held the Astros scoreless and they managed only one hit over 3 innings.

Frainyer Chavez hit a 3-run bomb to give the Rangers the lead in the top of the 3rd.
Yonny Hernandez has been hot at the plate. He was one of the two in the Rangers lineup with a multi hit game with two hits. The other was John Hicks who had two hits as well.
The Rangers line-up scored four runs on seven hits. The Astros committed two errors and as a result, one of the Rangers runs was unearned.
The Rangers ended up splitting the series at one win a piece with the other being a tie. The Texas Rangers Alternate site record is now 2-2-1.
