Blaine Crim had an outstanding series against the Amarillo Sod Poodles. In the six-game series he tied a franchise record. The RoughRiders won four games of the six game series and Crim's bat was a big contributing factor. Blaine Crim hit a home run in five-straight games cementing his name in the RoughRiders record books. It took the Frisco RoughRiders 113 games to get their 60th win of the season. The RoughRiders won 7-4 against the Corpus Christi Hooks and move to 60-53 on the season. The Frisco RoughRiders used four pitchers to combine for a two-hit shutout victory last night. It was their 9th shutout win of the season. Frisco starter Tim Brennan (W, 5-3) pitched 6 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 3 on 58 total pitches: 41 strikes to 17 balls. Frisco, TX- Prior to the game the RoughRiders sat with a 16-12 record in the 2nd half of the season and really need to string together more wins to have a shot at the postseason. The temperature at first pitch was 101 and it felt it but didn't stop the crowd of 3,139 who made their way to Riders Field. The RoughRiders line-up hit two home runs in Sunday's early afternoon game but it wasn't enough to lift them past the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners). The RoughRiders lost 8-4 but won four games of the six game series. This is the first series in June the RoughRiders have won. Ezequiel Duran continues to be one of the exciting storylines coming out of Frisco this season. As you know, Duran was part of the Joey Gallo trade. His arrival along with Josh Smith and Trevor Hauver gave a pretty big boost to the Rangers farm system. Glenn Otto was also part of the Gallo trade.
