The Texas Rangers lost four prospects in the 2022 Rule-5 Draft: RHP Mason Englert, Catcher Randy Florentino, OF Josh Stowers and RHP Seth Nordlin. The Rangers did not select any players. Texas Rangers pitching prospect, Mason Englert, as expected and predicted by me was named South Atlantic League Pitcher of Month of August! The 22-year-old Forney native was drafted by the Rangers in the 4th round (119 overall) of the 2018 draft. Mason won back-to-back Pitcher of the week awards in August! RoughRiders break records in Englert's debut

Mason Englert's Double-A debut couldn't have gone any better. He managed to shut down the Sod Poodles where the ball is known to fly out of the park. It's not a friendly park to pitchers. The RoughRiders line-up also broke a couple of franchise records. They scored eleven runs in the top of the 5th inning for the most runs scored in an inning.
