TCL RoughRiders Game 1 recap.

Baseball is back in the form of the Texas Collegiate League. The Frisco RoughRiders lost by a final of 3-2 to the Tulsa Drillers.

This 3-game opening series is being played at ONEOK Field?which has been the home of the Tulsa Drillers for 10 years.

The starting pitcher for the Frisco RoughRiders was Jacob Meador, a right-handed pitcher from TCU. He pitched three innings and allowed one run on four hits.

Joey Martin came in for relief and allowed two runs on three hits in two innings of work. He walked two batters and struck out two.

Ross Carver came in a pitched three scoreless innings and struck out six batters in the process. I’ll keep my eyes out on Carver.

Offensively, the Drillers out-hit the RoughRiders 7-4 and the RoughRiders struck out 15 times compared to the Drillers 8.

The starting pitcher for the Drillers, Bryce Osmond, pitched three shutout innings and struck out six of the ten batters he faced.

John Beller pitched two scoreless innings of relief. He allowed two hits, walked one and struck out two.

Alejandro Torres pitched one innings and struck out three. He allowed just one hit and the RoughRiders scored their only earned run. The unearned run the RoughRiders scored when Brandon Sproat was on the mound in the seventh inning. Sproat ended up pitching three innings and allowed the unearned run on 1 hit, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts.

The Frisco RoughRiders make their way back to Dr Pepper Ballpark and play their home opener starting July 3rd.
