The Texas Rangers draft Justin Foscue with the 14th pick . Justin played 2nd base for the Mississippi Bulldogs. I’ll be honest, I don’t recall seeing him in any of the Mock Drafts that I looked at. Here is a little bit of information and this will be updated as we go along.
Age: 21 | Height: 6’0 | Weight: 201 | Bats: Right | Throws: Right
He started off at 3rd base and then switched to 2nd base in 2019. At 2nd he has played 55 games while at 3rd base he played 31, so he has versatility to play at least the couple of positions.
His bat has a little pop in it and he has hit for average.
In 2019, he slashed a line of .331/.395/.564 and hit 14 home runs with 60 RBI. He drew 30 walks and struck out 32 times.
This year, before the novel Coronavirus shut down baseball he slashed a line of .321/.464/.509. Power-wise he hit 2 home runs and drove in 16. The eye for the ball is there as he drew 15 walks and only struck out 3 times in 16 games.
