Gone are the days of just myself and Jeff battling it out until we reached an agreement. This year, with a wider team of contributors, we voted, ensuring this list reflects a collaborative effort from our team.

15. Emiliano Teodo (RHP)
Age: 23 | Height/Weight: 6’1/165 | 2023 Stats: 4.52 ERA, 5-3 Win-Loss Record, 61.2 IP, 33 BB, 84 SO
Flamethrower Emiliano Teodo, has the ability to touch triple digits with his fastball. His dominant performance in the Arizona Fall League earned him recognition as the AFL Reliever of the Year, showcasing his potential to anchor the Rangers’ bullpen in the future.
14. Josh Stephan (RHP)
Age: 22 | Height/Weight: 6’3/185 | Stats: 2.30 ERA, 6-3 Win-Loss Record, 66.2 IP, 78 SO
Josh Stephan’s impressive 2023 campaign despite injuries underscores his potential as a future rotation piece for the Rangers. With a knack for generating strikeouts and limiting walks, Stephan’s ability to command the strike zone sets him apart as a promising arm within the organization. One of his goals for 2024 will be to stay healthy.
13. Mitch Bratt (LHP)
Age: 20 | Height/Weight: 6’1/190 Stats: 3.54 ERA, 2-3 Win-Loss Record, 61 IP, 17 BB, 73 SO
Mitch Bratt represented Canada in the World Baseball Classic. Things didn’t quite go his way in the Classic but he had a great season in Hickory.
12. Abimelec Ortiz (1B/DH)
Age: 22 | Height/Weight: 6’0/230 | Stats: 33 HR, 101 RBI
Power hitter Abimelec Ortiz’s surge in the 2023 season earned him recognition as the Tom Grieve Minor League Player of the Year. As the Rangers’ top offensive prospect, Ortiz’s ability to drive in runs and impact games with his bat makes him a player to watch as he continues to develop within the organization.
11. Aaron Zavala OF
Age: 23 | Height/Weight: 6’0/193 | Stats: .194 AVG, .343 OBP, .285 SLG, 5 HR, 40 RBI
Known for his plate discipline and keen eye at the plate, Aaron Zavala’s challenging 2023 campaign hasn’t dampened his potential. Zavala’s ability to draw walks and make consistent contact bodes well for his future as a potential on-base threat at the major league level.
10. Dustin Harris (LF/1B/DH)
Age: 24 | Height/Weight: 6’3/185 | Stats: .259 AVG, .378 OBP, .431 SLG, 14 HR, 60 RBI, 41 SB
Dustin Harris showcases speed on the bases and power at the plate. With the ability to play multiple positions and impact the game with his bat and legs, Harris could see time in Arlington at some point this season.
9. Anthony Gutierrez (OF)
Age: 19, Height/Weight: 6-3/180
Stats: (Low-A) .259 AVG, .326 OBP, .338 SLG, 2 HR, 34 RBI, 30 SB
Anthony Gutierrez, signed in the international signing period of 2022, possesses raw talent and potential. His blend of speed and defensive prowess offers promise for his development within the Rangers’ system.
8. Kumar Rocker (RHP)
Age: 24, Height/Weight: 6-5/245
Stats: (High-A) 3.86 ERA, 2-2 Win-Loss Record, 28 IP, 7 BB, 42 SO
Despite recovering from Tommy John surgery, Kumar Rocker’s prior success highlights his potential impact on the mound. With a solid performance in High-A Hickory prior to his injury, Rocker’s return mid-season promises to bolster the Rangers’ pitching depth.
7. Owen White (RHP)
Age: 24, Height/Weight: 6-3/199
Stats: (Double-A/Triple-A) 4.22 ERA, 4-5 Win-Loss Record, 108.2 IP, 55 BB, 80 SO
White already has a taste of the majors under his belt after making his MLB debut in 2023. Look for him to see more time in Arlington at some point this season. While he’ll need to limit the walks, his competitiveness –a quality that earned him the nickname “Bar Fight” – suggest he’s up to the challenge.
6. Jack Leiter (RHP)
Age: 24, Height/Weight: 6-1/205
Last season stats: (Double-A/Triple-A) 5.18 ERA, 1-1 Win-Loss Record, 68 IP, 45 BB, 105 SO
Despite a challenging 2023 season, Jack Leiter’s pedigree as a top prospect remains intact. With flashes of brilliance and improved performance towards the end of the season, Leiter’s continued development and potential impact on the mound make him a key player to watch for the Rangers.
5. Justin Foscue (INF)
Age: 25, Height/Weight: 5-11/205
Stats: (Triple-A) .266 AVG, .394 OBP, .468 SLG, 18 HR, 84 RBI
Infielder Justin Foscue’s impressive performance in Triple-A Round Rock highlights his potential as a future contributor to the Rangers’ lineup. Drafted in 2020, Foscue could finally see Arlington this year. His bat (.266/.394/.468, 18 HR in AAA) is impressive, but he can be streaky with power. This spring, he’s played more at 1st base.
4. Brock Porter (RHP) – Age: 20, Height/Weight: 6-4/208
Stats: (Low-A) 2.47 ERA, 0-3 Win-Loss Record, 69.1 IP, 42 BB, 95 SO
Right-handed pitcher Brock Porter emerged as the top pitching prospect in the Rangers’ system with an impressive debut season in Low-A. Despite some control issues, Porter’s ability to generate strikeouts and limit hits are a couple of reasons to be excited about his potential to develop into a future frontline starter for the Rangers.
3. Sebastian Walcott (SS) – Age: 18, Height/Weight: 6-4/190
Stats: (DOSL/ACL/High-A) .246/.335/.471/.806 with 7 HR, 24 RBI
At just 18 years old, shortstop Sebastian Walcott demonstrates advanced skills and potential beyond his years. With a powerful bat and defensive prowess, Walcott’s ability to impact games on both sides of the ball positions him as a cornerstone of the Rangers’ future infield. There’s also been some talk about him switching positions.
This 18-year-old sensation is quickly rising through the Rangers’ system. Signed in 2023, he overcame a slow start in the Dominican Summer League (.161) to tear up the Arizona Complex League (.273, 7 HR).
As with a lot of prospects, strikeouts are a concern and he focused on pitch recognition this off-season. He will soon be the Rangers’ number one prospect when Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford graduate from the list shortly.
2. Evan Carter (OF)
Age: 21, Height/Weight: 6-2/190
Carter, a pivotal player in the Rangers’ World Series Championship, embodies the essence of a five-tool player. His short time in Arlington last season saw him deliver a blistering .306/.413/.645 slash line with 5 homers and 12 RBIs in just 23 games. He finished with a ridiculous 1.6 bWAR. Nicknamed ‘Full Count Carter’ and ‘Air Carter’ by fans, his electrifying presence on the field is undeniable.
1. Wyatt Langford (OF) – Age: 22, Height/Weight: 6-1/225
Last season stats: .360 AVG, .480 OBP, .677 SLG, 10 HR, 30 RBI, 12 SB
Outfielder Wyatt Langford’s meteoric rise through the Rangers’ farm system is nothing short of remarkable. Skipping Low-A entirely, Langford dominated at every level with his impressive production at the plate and all-around skill set. With a hot start this spring, Langford’s potential impact on the Rangers’ lineup is becoming more realistic with every game that passes. He’s leading MLB in Spring Training with 6 home runs, solidifying his position as the top prospect in the organization.
