Welcome to The Farm Report. This is a weekly series that will highlight performances for each team throughout the entire Texas Rangers farm system for the week.

The Farm Report for week May 17- 22

AAA Round Rock (26-16)

The Express went 5-1 for the week.

Josh Smith, 24, hit for a .389 average with 4 RBI, 3 walks and 2 stolen bases.

RHP AJ Alexy made two starts and got back-to-back wins. He went 2-0, pitching 10 innings, giving up 6 runs on 10 hits, 4 walks and 11 strikeouts.

In 9 starts this season Alexy has a 2-1 win-loss record, 6.57 earned run average in 38.1 innings with 39 strikeouts.

AA Frisco (22-17)

The RoughRiders split the series and went 3-3 against the Corpus Christi Hooks.

3B Jonathan Ornelas, 21, the Rangers 3rd round pick in 2018, went 11-for-28 slashing a line of .393/.433/.571/1.005 with 4 RBI. He had his second 4-hit game of the season.

For the season, Ornelas is currently hitting for a .362/.399/.497/.895 with 4 home runs and 17 RBI.

22 year old OF Dustin Harris went 6-for-22 and really made the hits count as four of his six hit left the yard. He slashed a line of .273/.304/.818/1.123 with 4 home runs and 10 RBI.

For the season, Dustin Harris is hitting for .260 average, 7 home runs, 30 RBI and 8 stolen bases.

LHP Cole Ragans, 24, the Rangers 2016 1st round pick went 1-0, pitching 6 innings, allowing two runs on 3 hits, 3 walks and struckout 9.

For the season Cole has a 4-1 win- loss record with 2.83 earned run average in 35 innings pitched with 45 strikeouts.

Cole has been one of if not the most consistent pitchers in the Rangers farm system so far this season.

Chase Lee, the Rangers 6th round pick in 2021, pitched 3.2 innings innings in the series against the Hooks. He earned his 1st win of the season and allowed only 1 hit and walked 1 batter. Lee still hasn’t allowed a run to cross the plate.

For the season Lee 'The Viper' has a 1-0 win-loss record with a 0.00 era in 17 innings with 21 K’s.

High-A Hickory (22-16)

The Crawdads went 5-1 against the Greenville Drive.

2B/OF Trevor Hauver, 23, has been on fire at the plate this last week! In the series against the Greenville Drive, Hauver slashed a line of .500/.609/1.278/1.887 with 4 home runs, 10 RBI and 5 walks.

For the season Hauver is hitting a line of 237/.402/.430/.832 with 5 home runs, 26 RBI, 27 walks and 28 strikeouts. 

Right-handed reliever Eudrys Manon, 24, pitches two games and earned a save each time. He pitched 2 total innings and allowed 2 hits, 1 run, 1 walk and struckout 4!

For the season Eudrys has appeared in 12 games and has a 1-0 win-loss record with a 4.91 earned run average in 14.2 innings pitched with 20 strikeouts. He is 4-4 in save opportunities. 

Down East (16-23)

The Wood Ducks went 2-4 against Carolina Mudcats.

19 year old Outfielder Alejandro Osuna slashed a line of .421/.476/.684/1.160 with a home run, 5 RBI and 2 steals. He’s been tbe best hitter for the Wood Ducks through the first six weeks of the season.

For the season he is hitting .348/.420/.539/.959 with 5 home runs, 18 RBI, 11 stolen bases.


Left-hander Larson Kindreich, 22, was the Texas Rangers 8th round pick (224th overall) in 2021 pitched 6 innings. He only allowed 2 hits, 1 walk and struckout 8.

For the season, Larson has a 2-1 win-loss record with a 2.03 earned run average in 31 innings pitched with 46 K's.

Right-handed reliever Damian Mendoza, 21, made two appearances. He pitched a total of 5 scoreless innings, giving up 5 hits, 3 walks and struckout 5.

For the season in 11 games Mendoza has a 2-1 win-loss record with a 2.08 earned run average in 21.2 innings with 21 strikeouts and 9 walks.

Another week of strong performances on the farm.
