Another week of the minor-league season is gone and another Texas Rangers prospect has been honored as a pitcher of the week. This time it is Larson Kindreich.

Left-hander Larson Kindreich has been named the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for his dominant pitching performance on Saturday, July 9, 2022 against the Bowling Green Hot Rods where the Crawdads tossed a combinedno-hitter. It was just Kindreich’s 3rd start for the Hickory Crawdads.

He pitched six scoreless and hitless innings. His only blemish was issuing a two-out walk during the 5th inning. He also struck out eight and threw 84 pitches/51 for strikes.

The Crawdads bullpen: Tejada, Brewer, and McDowell contributed to his performance and the Crawdads tossed their first no-hitter since the 2013 season.

In his three High-A starts, he has a 1-0 win-loss record with a 0.60 earned run average in 15 innings pitched. He issued 7 walks and struck out 18.

Prior to being promoted he had a 3-2 win-loss record with a 2.37 earned run average in 38 innings with the Low-A Down East Wood Ducks.

This is a well deserved honor for Larson Kindreich!
