Round Rock Express (26-22)

The Round Rock Express faced a tough loss against the Space Cowboys, ending the game with a 2-3 defeat. Cole Winn was on the mound for the bottom of the 9th, allowing two runs which led to a walk-off loss.

Despite the outcome, Dustin Harris and Trevor Hauver delivered multi-hit performances, while Sandro Fabian and Matt Duffy each contributed an RBI. The Express now hold a record of 26-22.

Frisco RoughRiders (25-17)

The RoughRiders fell short in their game against the Midland RockHounds, losing 3-5. Starting pitcher Nick Krauth threw for 6 innings, giving up 4 runs (2 earned) on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 1 strikeout, tallying 69 pitches with 43 strikes.

Offensively, Kellen Strahm and Aaron Zavala each hit home runs. Cody Freeman went 2-4, and Liam Hicks, although hitless, managed to draw 3 walks.

Hickory Crawdads (16-27)

The Hickory Crawdads split their doubleheader against the Asheville Tourists. In the first game, they suffered a 2-5 loss. Mitch Bratt had a solid start, pitching 6 innings and allowing only 1 run on 5 hits, with 4 strikeouts.

DJ Peters, however, was charged with the loss after allowing 4 runs in 2/3 of an inning.

At the plate, Yosy Galan went 1-3 with 2 RBIs, and Sebastian Walcott drew two walks despite going 0-2 and had a stolen base.

Game two

The second game saw a turnaround with a 4-3 victory.

Joseph Montalvo pitched 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits, and struck out 11, earning his 2nd win of the season. Gavin Collyer provided a scoreless inning in relief with 2 strikeouts.

Alejandro Osuna went 1-2, hitting his 4th home run of the season and driving in 2 runs. Sebastian Walcott also contributed with 2 walks and 2 stolen bases.

Down East Wood Ducks (23-19)

Arturo Disla went 3-4 with a solo home run in the Wood Ducks’ 6-4 win over the RiverDogs. Wady Mendez had a standout performance, going 4-4 with an RBI and a stolen base.

On the mound, Jose Gonzalez was stellar out of the bullpen, pitching 5 scoreless innings, striking out 7, and earning the win with a 1.35 ERA.
