Ranger things happened during their 10-6 loss to the Rockies. With this loss the Rangers fall to .500 ball with a 10-10 record. They have 40 games to play to try and make the expanded post-season. The Rangers really can't afford to stop their losing streak but that's exactly what happened on tonight with the roof open at Globe Life Field. The Mariners got the best of Rangers pitching and Ranger killer, Kyle Seager hit a grand slam. The final was 10-2 and the Rangers are now 6-9 with 45 games left to play. This is supposed to be the easy part of the schedule for the Rangers but their record doesn't necessarily indicate that. They face the Colorado Rockies next after a day off on Thursday.

The Texas Rangers announced prior to the start of the three-game series against the Mariners it was announced that left-hander Taylor Hearn has been recalled from the alternate training site. Also, outfielder Adolis Garcia has been optioned to the alternate site. Taylor Hearn has dealt with shoulder injuries as well all remember his debut only lasted 1/3 of an inning. In Spring Training he pitched 6 innings and allowed 2 runs on 3 hits, 2 walks and struck out 7 all for an average against of .14
