What do Round Rock's Taylor Hearn, Spencer Howard and Cole Ragans have in common? They have been named PCL Pitcher of the Week in consecutive weeks!   Cole Ragans won June 20-26 and Spencer Howard won June 27-July 3 and Taylor Hearn won this week’s honor July 4-July 10. Hearn's start on Friday, July 8 against the Albuquerque Isotopes (Colorado Rockies) earned him the honor. He tossed 5.0 innings allowing only one run on one hit. After losing three-games in a row, the Rangers got back into the win column on Sunday with their 7-2 win over the Angels. They move to 19-34 with only seven games remaining in the season. Losing has been a common theme recently for our Texas Rangers. You can't blame it all on the pitching. The blame can easily be spread to the defense and we'll hand some of it to the offense as well. The Rangers lose to the Athletics by a final of 10-3 and are now 11-18 on the season. Ranger things happened during their 10-6 loss to the Rockies. With this loss the Rangers fall to .500 ball with a 10-10 record. They have 40 games to play to try and make the expanded post-season. Kolby Allard pitched three innings in which the Rockies scored 6 run on 8 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. The biggest inning was the 2nd, where the Rockies scored 5 runs. Rangers Recap: Seager slams the Rangers

The Rangers really can't afford to stop their losing streak but that's exactly what happened on tonight with the roof open at Globe Life Field. The Mariners got the best of Rangers pitching and Ranger killer, Kyle Seager hit a grand slam. The final was 10-2 and the Rangers are now 6-9 with 45 games left to play. This is supposed to be the easy part of the schedule for the Rangers but their record doesn't necessarily indicate that. They face the Colorado Rockies next after a day off on Thursday.

Texas Rangers recalled Taylor Hearn, Garcia optioned

The Texas Rangers announced prior to the start of the three-game series against the Mariners it was announced that left-hander Taylor Hearn has been recalled from the alternate training site. Also, outfielder Adolis Garcia has been optioned to the alternate site. Taylor Hearn has dealt with shoulder injuries as well all remember his debut only lasted 1/3 of an inning.
