Frisco gets eighth shutout of the season
Last night, the Frisco RoughRiders got timely hits and great pitching in their 6-0 victory over the San Antonio Missions. It was their eighth shutout of the season. Frisco's offense got it going early in the top of the 1st thanks to a solo shot from Dustin Harris. It was his team-leading 14th home run of the season. RoughRiders lose 8-4 but win series against the Travelers
The RoughRiders line-up hit two home runs in Sunday's early afternoon game but it wasn't enough to lift them past the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners). The RoughRiders lost 8-4 but won four games of the six game series. This is the first series in June the RoughRiders have won. Frisco, TX- Left-hander Cody Bradford made his twelfth start of the season for the Frisco RoughRiders and 6,704 fans were in attendance to see him set a season-high with 11 strikeouts. A gametime temperature of 96 degrees didn't keep the a nice crowd- some from Wisconsin- from coming out to Riders Field and watching the Riders climb back over the .500 mark.
