Here’s a TCL RoughRiders update. The RoughRiders RoughRiders in the Texas Collegiate League have won eight games in a row. Some of those were due to forfeit by the other teams (Amarillo Sod Squad and the Tulsa Drillers). With the streak of eight games in a row they now are 15-10 and in 2nd place behind the Amarillo Sod Squad.
Early in the season the RoughRiders had problems with their lineup but looking at the recent streak of games played this week against, that hasn’t been an issue. Against the Texarkana Twins there offensive output has been 7, 12 and 16. That’s a total of 35 runs in that series.
The top batter for the RoughRiders has been outfielder, Isaiah Ortega-Jones, who is hitting .313 with 4 long balls and 16 RBI.
Infielder, Dan Pruitt has been hitting .295 with 2 home runs and 14 RBI.
The Frisco RoughRiders pitching dtaff has a total of 123 innings pitched. They have an ERA of 3.51 and a WHIP of 1.46 with a .225 batting average against. As a whole they have given up 8 home runs.
Defensively the TCL Frisco RoughRiders are leading the league in fielding percentage at 0.984 and have commited 8 errors. Let’s also keep in mind that the RoughRiders have played less games than anyone else but that’s still something to be proud of.
The ‘Riders play a three games series starting tonight with the Amarillo Sod Dogs. Unfortunately, no fans are allowed. This is an important series for each team. We’ll keep you updated.
