Welcome to The Farm Report. This is a weekly series that will highlight performances for each team throughout the entire Texas Rangers farm system for the week.

May 10-15

Round Rock and Frisco both faced the Dodgers affiliate this week.

Triple A Round Rock Express (21-15)

The Round Rock Express went 2-4 in their series against the Oklahoma City Dodgers (Dodgers).

On Thursday night May 12th, the E-Train suffered their worst margin of defeat in their 19-0 loss.

On Sunday, the Express walked it off for their 1st of the season.

The Express are currently in 2nd place in the Pacific Coast League East. Just one game behind the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

2B Matt Carpenter, 36, slashed a line of .333/.474/.800/1.274 with two home runs and 3 RBI.

RHP Spencer Patton, 34, went 2-0 0.00 era 3 innings allowing 2 hits, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts!

Bubba Thompson leads all of Triple-A with 18 stolen bases.

Double A Frisco RoughRiders (19-14)

The RoughRiders played the Tulsa Drillers (Dodgers) and didn’t have a great series as they went 2-4.

Although they lost the series against the Drillers, they salvaged the road trip on Sunday and won the final game 18-4. Trey Hair had a 3 home run game. As a team the RoughRiders scored a season-high 18 runs with 17 hits, including 8 HR’s.

  • Trey Hair: 3 HR
  • Ezequiel Duran: 2 HR
  • Jonathan Ornelas, Jordan Procyshen and Dustin Harris each with a solo HR.

The 8 home runs tied a team record.

Ezequiel Duran hit a line of .391/.429/.870/1.298 with 2 HR and 7 RBI, 3 doubles and 1 triple.

The pitching highlight has to be Cole Ragans. On Sunday he pitched 5 innings, allowed 4 runs-3 earned on 4 hits, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. It was his 3rd straight win.

HIgh A Hickory (17-15)

Hickory split their six games series 3-3 with the Greensboro Grasshoppers.

SS Luisangel Acuna, 20, hit a line of .300/.391/.550/.941 with a home run and 5 RBI. On Saturday he went 2-for-4 with a walk. He stole 2nd (3) each time he reached base.

On Friday May 13, RHP Nick Krauth, 22, pitched 6 innings of shutout ball and earned his 1st win of the season. He gave up 2 hits, walked two and struckout 5.

Low A Down East (14-19)

Lynchburg won four games out of the six game set.

OF Alejandro Osuna, 19, went 7-for-19 for a .368 batting average in the series. He hit one home run with 3 RBI, 7 runs scored and had 2 stolen bases.

On Sunday, right-hander Winston Santos, 20, pitched 5 innings giving up 4 hits, issuing 1 walk and struckout 8.
