Welcome to The Farm Report. This is a weekly series that will highlight performances for each team throughout the entire Texas Rangers farm system.

Week May 31- June 5 2022

Triple-A Round Rock

Round Rock went 2-4 against the Oklahoma City Dodgers.

Yohel Pozo hit a line of .389/.450/.611/1.061 with a home run and 3 RBI.

Starting Pitcher Spencer Howard had a bounce back outing. He pitched 5 scoreless innings. It’s the first scoreless outing hes thrown this season. He allowed four hits, three walks and struckout six.

Reliever Josh Sborz wants to be called back up to Arlington when the time comes. He made two appearances in this series, pitching four innings. He allowed one hit, walked two and struckout four. He has now pitched 7.2 consecutive innings without allowing a run.

Double-A Frisco RoughRiders

Frisco went 2-4 against the Wichita Wind Surge. This is the third series they have lost.

Doubles machine, Ezequiel Duran slashed a line of .364/.462/.546/1.007 with two doubles, an RBI and two walks prior to being promoted to Arlington.

Jack Leiter had another fantastic outing. He technically came out of the pen to complete the game that had bwen suspended the prior night. He pitched 5.2 scoreless innings, issued three and struckout a season-high eight batters. Leiter also threw a season-high 93 pitches/55 for strikes.

High-A Hickory Crawdads

Hickory went 3-3 against the Asheville Tourists.

20 year old Thomas Saggese had a strong series at the plate. He slashed a line of .455/.500/.773/1.273 with two home runs, including a grand slam and eight RBI.

RHP Owen White pitched six innings. He allowed two runs on a season-high nine hits but also struckout a season-high ten batters.

For the season, White has a 5-2 win-loss record with a 4.73 earned run average in 45.2 innings. He is striking out twelve batters per nine innings.

Low-A Down East Wood Ducks

Down East went 3-3 against the Charleston Riverdogs.

19 year old SS Maximo Acosta hit a line of .333/.429/.500/.929 with three doubles, four RBI, three walks and three stolen bases.

For the season he is hitting .260 with one HR, 17 RBI and 17 stolen bases.

22 year old left-hander Robby Ahlstrom pitched a season-high six innings, allowing only one run on six hits and four strikeouts. He also threw a season-high 80 pitches/49 strikes.

Josh Smith and Ezequiel Duran amd Steele Walker became the 177th, 178th and 179th former RoughRiders to make their Major-League debut.
