The Frisco RoughRiders have two more players that have been promoted to Triple-A Round Rock. Starting pitcher Tim Brennan and catcher Matt Whatley.
Right-hander Tim Brennan has appeared in 10 games with 5 starts. He has a 2-3 win-loss record with a 3.09 earned run average in 32 innings pitched. Brennan has limited the free passes as he’s only issued 6 walks and he’s struckout 28.
Matt Whatley has been fun to watch with the way he handles a pitching staff. He’s just impressive behind the plate.
At the plate, Whatley has hit a line of .226/.268/.322/.590 with 2 home runs and 9 RBI. I’ll be curious to see what he does in Triple-A and if his presence will help Cole Winn.
Congratulations to both Tim Brennan and Matt Whatley on their promotion to Triple-A Round Rock.
