It’s almost time for the Rangers to cut their MLB Roster down to 30 and decide who moves along to the Alternate Team. Here are my best guesses on where some of the minor league prospects will end up.
Let’s start easy; Leody Taveras moves up to the show. He has more than proven himself during summer camp. We’d actually argue here that he’s still the Rangers’ #1 prospect. He’s got that spark in his bat and pep in his step that the Rangers need. That moves Adolis Garcia to the Alternate Team across the street.
Controversial pick; Joe Palumbo becomes a full-time Ranger. Yes, he had Tommy John. And yes, he has a history of various injuries. But he’s been solid recently and pitches a good inning. The Rangers will also want to make sure they keep him in the system. I can’t see a situation where they’d let this prospect go.
Currently confirmed for Alternate: Sherten Apostel, Nick Ciuffo, DeMarcus Evans, Sam Huff, Andy Ibanez, Josh Jung, Tyler Phillips, Alex Speas, Anderson Tejeda, and Eli White.
