Rangers announce all but one Coaching Staff position has been filled including the new addition of a Fan Favorite On Wednesday afternoon, the Texas Rangers announced that all but one position on Skip Schumaker’s 2026 coaching staff has been filled. Marcus Semien secured second Gold Glove Award Marcus Semien has earned his second career Gold Glove Award and became the first second baseman in Rangers and Senators franchise history to receive the honor. Mike Maddux set to leave Rangers staff and head out west. Mike Maddux has declined to return as the Texas Rangers' pitching coach for the 2026 season, ending his second stint with the team. Maddux is set to join the Los Angeles Angels, marking his departure from the Rangers. Maddux rejoined the Rangers in 2023 as part of manager Bruce Kasey Jarvis
