Rangers promote rising prospect Davalillo to Frisco
Evan Grant reported Monday afternoon that 22-year-old SP David Davalillo (Rangers No. 29 Prospect) is being promoted to Double-A Frisco. Davalillo has been a rising star for the Spartanburgers going back to last season when he had a 1.88 ERA in 110.1 IP while pitching for Hickory and the DownEast Ducks(now the SpartanBurgers) and although wasn’t initially put on the Frisco roster to start the 2025 season, he was an early candidate to make his way up to Double-A this year and hasn’t disappoint
Osuna gets promoted to AAA Round Rock
The Texas Rangers No. 7 prospect Alejandro Osuna got the notice he was being promoted up to AAA as he continues to impress the Rangers organization every time he laces up the spikes Osuna is coming fresh off of winning Rangers minor league defender of the month where he didn’t have a single error in 176 innings in April and has gone 50 straight games without making one, so he’s more than just a steady bat in the lineup. Jung drives in a pair in Roughriders first win of the season
Saturday night was a rather crisp one for an April night. On the mound for the Roughriders was Mitch Bratt who faced off against a rehabbing Lance McCullers Jr for Corpus Christi. The night began off rough for Bratt as he worked both of the first batters to an 0-2 count but proceeded to get on base via some weak hit singles.
