Kyle Cody gets 1st Win and Sam Huff hits his 1st home run

After losing three-games in a row, the Rangers got back into the win column on Sunday with their 7-2 win over the Angels. They move to 19-34 with only seven games remaining in the season. For those on #RockerWatch, the Rangers would have the 2nd pick if the season ended tonight. They are 4 games behind the Pittsburgh Pirates and will not pass them before the end of the season. Some exciting things happened in this win. Kyle Cody earned his 1st career win and Sam Huff hit his 1st home run. Hop

Lance Lynn earns 6th win as Rangers record 17th win

Lance Lynn did his thing on the mound yesterday in the Rangers 6-3 win over the Athletics yesterday. He pitched seven strong innings allowing only 1 run on 3 hits and 2 walks. He struck out 10 Athletics. Seeing a line like that, makes me glad that we didn't trade Lynn if it wasn't for a teams top 5 prospect. On a 17-win team, Lance Lynn has six of those wins. Jonathan Hernández (2.81) pitched the top of the 8th inning. He allowed a home run and struck out one in his inning of work. Rafael Mont

Ranger things: Benching veterans, evaluating for future

According to the Rangers beats, the Rangers are benching Elvis Andrus and Rougned Odor. Odor is currently on the IL but is expected to receive less playing time once he comes back from his eye infection. Both Andrus and Odor have struggled this season. One could argue that Andrus deserves more of a leash than Odor. Between Andrus and Odor, the Rangers still owe them around $60 million. I don't just see the Rangers walking away from that. Odor may be traded but I think Andrus is still the teams s

Odor to IL, Anderson Tejeda, Eli White called up

After what many Ranger fans view as a failed trade deadline, the Rangers have announced more roster moves. Eli White called up along with Anderson Tejeda and pitcher John King. John King Rougned Odor is heading to the IL for his eye infection that has had him benched. It appears that what we've been calling for is going to happen. It's time to let the prospects play. Anderson Tejeda Anderson Tejeda is being called back up from the alternate site. In hindsight, I don't think he should've bee

Rangers things: Giving up Grand Slams 3 consecutive games

Welcome to another edition of Rangers Things. The Rangers lost in 10 innings by a final of 6-3. The San Diego Padres are running roughshod to the Rangers and their pitching. They have now hit Grand Slams in three consecutive games, which has to be some sort of record. If it is- that isn?t the type of record you want on your resume. The shot tonight came from the bat of Manny Machado against closer Rafael Montero who was pitching into his second inning. Some would argue that decision. Pitching
