Here's a TCL RoughRiders update. The RoughRiders RoughRiders in the Texas Collegiate League have won eight games in a row. Some of those were due to forfeit by the other teams (Amarillo Sod Squad and the Tulsa Drillers). With the streak of eight games in a row they now are 15-10 and in 2nd place behind the Amarillo Sod Squad. The RoughRiders lost by a final of 7-2 to the Bombers. Their record for is now 4-10 for the 30-game Texas Collegiate League season. All of the canceled games are counting against the loss column. This goes without saying but if they cannot make up the games that weren't played, they literally have to win every game. The hope is that the RoughRiders will be able to make up any games cancelled. TCL RoughRiders Game 3 recap: Riders lose 2-1 The Frisco RoughRiders lost the rubber match in the three game series against the Tulsa Drillers by a final of 2-1. The Frisco RoughRiders staff struggled with control as they walked seven batters in this game. TCL RoughRiders Game 2: Drillers strikeout 19 Riders
TCL RoughRiders game 2 recap: In game two of the three game series, the RoughRiders struck out 19 times but managed to win by a final of 7-2. A crowd of 1,254 was at the ballpark to witness this. The Drillers pitching staff racked up the strikeouts but they also walked eight RoughRiders and allowed 10 hits. The RoughRiders tied the series and the are 1-1 so far in this 30-game season.
