The Texas Rangers have announced their Minor League Players of the month and Mitch Bratt has been named the minor league starting pitcher of the month for July. This is a huge honor for Bratt, who has had an impressive start to his professional career. This is his 2nd consecutive month being named as the Wood Ducks starter of the month.
For the month of July, Bratt has a 3-1 win-loss record with a 1.96 earned run average in four starts. He has pitched 18.1 innings and only given up four earned runs on 13 hits and he struck out 23 batters.
Bratt was drafted by the Rangers in the 5th round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of Georgia Premier Academy.
The 19-year-old Bratt has been really impressive. For this season he has a 4-3 win-loss record with a 2.35 earned run average in 15 games- 14 appearances totaling 61.1 innings. He’s averaged 11.2 strikeouts per nine innings pitched compared to 2.9 walks per nine.
