Going Out on Top
Curry earned his ticket to the Texas League by delivering his best start of the season in his final outing for the Spartanburgers.
Facing off against the Rome Emperors (Braves affiliate), Curry caused fits for the opposing hitters to turn in a really nice quality start:
6.0 IP // 0 R // 3 H // 3 BB // 9 SO // 89/58 strikes
The dominant, high-strikeout performance showed exactly why the Rangers organization is high on the 23-year-olds arsenal. He controlled the game from the first pitch, leaving Hub City on a high note.
Curry's 2026 Season Stats
Prior to his promotion, Curry put together a nice season of work in the South Atlantic League. Through 31.0 innings pitched he racked up 42 strikeouts.
2026 High-A Breakdown:
- Win-Loss Record: 2-1
- ERA: 3.48
- Innings Pitched: 31.0 IP
- Strikeouts: 42 K
- Walks: 18 BB

From Undrafted Free Agent to the Upper Minors
Curry’s journey through the Rangers system is a testament to the Rangers' scouting and player development success. Standing tall on the mound with a projectable frame, Curry was originally signed by Texas as a non-drafted free agent following the shortened five-round Major League Baseball Draft in 2020.
Since turning pro, he features an impressive mix of high-spin fastballs and sharp secondary pitches that play exceptionally well when he is commanding the zone. His ability to miss bats—as evidenced by his 42 strikeouts over 31 frames and his 9-strikeout parting gift against Rome—makes him a perfect fit for the Texas League environment.
Don't miss seeing Aidan Curry pitch in Frisco.
With Riders Field serving as the next major true test in his development, Rangers fans won't have to travel far to see one of the system's most intriguing right-handers.
Welcome to Frisco, Aidan.
