A day after failing to extend their team record 11-game win streak to 12-games, the RoughRiders get back into the win column. They won 4-2 over the Midland RockHounds (Athletics) and move to 34-17 on the season. The RockHounds couldn’t keep up and now are 23-28 on the season.

Right-hander Ronny Henriquez pitched his best game while wearing a RoughRiders uniform so far. He tossed 6 innings of one-run ball to earn the victory. He gave up the run on a solo-shot to left-handed batter, Chase Calabuig.

Tyler Thomas (4.50) also had a scoreless outing. He pitched 1.2 innings, gave up two hits and struckout two.

Fernery Ozuna (4.56) shut things down but not before the RockHounds made it interesting and tagged him for a run. Jeremy Eierman hit his 9th home run of the season in the top of the 9th to make it a 4-2 game. He earned his third save of the season.

The biggest story in the line-up continues to be Rangers top prospect, Josh Jung (.308). He went 2-3 with two RBI and a walk.

Steele Walker hit a two-run home run, his 8th home of the season in the top of the 3rd. All of the RoughRiders runs came in the top of 3rd.

It’s worth mentioning that Bubba Thompson went 1-4 and is slashing .333/.429/.667/1.095 at the plate.
