Sebastian Walcott Hits Home Run in Rehab Game with ACL Rangers

SURPRISE, AZ — Texas Rangers prospect Sebastian Walcott hit a home run last night in his second rehab game with the ACL Rangers as he continues his recovery from elbow surgery. Serving as the designated hitter against the ACL Brewers, the shortstop finished the night 2-for-3 with the home run, a walk, two runs scored, and a stolen base.

After undergoing internal brace surgery on his right UCL back in February, initial reports thought Walcott might miss the entirety of the 2026 season. Instead, he made his first rehab appearance just two days ago, hitting a double and scoring twice.

Last night's performance proved the power in his bat hasn’t skipped a beat.

Through his first two complex league games, Walcott has hit for power, stolen a base and worked a walk. He's hit .500/.571/1.167/1.738 with a HR, RBI, SB, BB and four runs.

For the Rangers, seeing their premier power-speed threat have this kind of immediate production in his rehab assignment has to be a massive sigh of relief.
