Albert Pujols powers Angels to 6-2 win, DeMarcus Evans makes debut
Albert Pujols had 660 home runs prior to the start of tonight's game. When the game was over the Angels won 6-2 and he had 662 home runs and he surpassed Willie Mays on the all-time home run list. Pujols stands alone in 5th place with 662. The next up is Alex Rodriguez with 696. On the mound Jimmy Herget (3.24) opened for the Rangers and walked two batters in his scoreless inning. Wes Benjamin (1-1, 4.41) pitched four innings and allowed two runs on six hits, two walks and four strikeouts. P
DeMarcus Evans finally gets the call, Rangers roster updates.
Today is the day that a BIG amount of Rangers fans have been waiting for! Right-handed relief pitcher, Demarcus Evans got his call from the Rangers. Evans, 23 was drafted in 2015 draft in the 25th Round from Petal Mississippi. Additional notes on Evan (6' 5, 265) last year between High-A Down East and AA Frisco, Demarcus went 6-0 with 12 Saves and a whopping 0.90 era. I repeat 6-0 with 12 saves and 0.90 era. In his 60 innings gave up 23 hits, issued 39 walks and struck out 100! That was not th
Rangers lose to the Athletics by a touchdown, 10-3
Losing has been a common theme recently for our Texas Rangers. You can't blame it all on the pitching. The blame can easily be spread to the defense and we'll hand some of it to the offense as well. The Rangers lose to the Athletics by a final of 10-3 and are now 11-18 on the season. The Athletics scored 5 runs in the top of the 7th to effectively end the hopes of the Rangers trying to claw their way back. At that point the Rangers had no fight in them. Well touch on this in a bit but the star o
After a rough start; it's time for the Texas Rangers to play their prospects
This goes without saying but I'm going to say it anyway, "This is not the typical baseball season". Heck, if it was maybe I probably don't fully buy into this idea but hear me out. It's time for the Rangers to play their prospects. The Rangers have lost 8 games in a row after losing the 3-game series to the Mariners. This team isn't performing up to their ability, or maybe they are. Either way we are not a .500 baseball team. The Rangers are currently 10-17 with only 33 games left to play. It is
DeMarcus Evans and Kolby Allard will make noise in Nashville
Forgive me for being late in reporting this but right-handed reliever DeMarcus Evans and left-handed starter Kolby Allard will be making noise, not music, in Nashville. The Texas Rangers also assigned more players to Double-A Frisco yesterday. DeMarcus Evans will be in Arlington at some point this season. Honestly, I was thinking that he may get a bullpen spot out of spring training but this move doesn't really surprise me. Evans has options available and has not thrown from the mound above Do
Texas Rangers Prospect Spotlight: DeMarcus Evans
DeMarcus Evans is a name many Rangers fans know and if by some chance they don't, they will soon enough. This is going to be a big year for Evans who was put on the 40-man roster for protection from the rule-5 draft this winter. I asked if he had done any celebrating after he was placed on the 40-man. Yes I did my mom and family threw a little get together and the next day I left to go celebrate with Tyler Phillips! DeMarcus Evans DeMarcus Evans doesn't really need an introduction but here i

Bahr started strong and Ryan Dorow pitched for the 1st time in career
It was a beautiful night at Dr Pepper Ballpark to catch some RoughRiders baseball. It was St Jude night meaning that every ticket sold benefited St Jude. If you haven't been to Dr Pepper Ballpark and are in the DFW area, you really need to. They also have promotions, it is a beautiful park and you get to watch baseball. Things started off good for the RoughRiders after getting a run in the bottom of the 1st. They held that lead until the 5th inning and by the time the game ended the score was 1
