We got several questions to answer for this week’s edition. Let me also preface this by saying that I am not a scout. I have seen some of the players I’m mentioning and others I haven’t.

I’ve been thinking about this alot before you asked this question. From Frisco, you can etch in stone, that we will see DeMarcus Evans and maybe Jason Bahr.

From Nashville, I would have said Nick Solak but he’s already in Arlington. Eli White is on the 7 day IL currently. If he isn’t on the IL much longer, he may be a possibility. Tim Dillard is another candidate as he’s been pretty solid in his last 7 starts.

It may not happen but I’d love to see Dallas native, Preston Beck get a call up in September. Since he was promoted from Frisco to Triple-A Nashville, he has hit .458/.519/.625 for an OPS of 1.144.?

I’m leaving some guys out but those are the ones that stick out to me.

As we know, Burke has BRock’d the Majors. Do I think he will start 2020 in Arlington? Yes. There are some out there that say he will start 2020 in Nashville but I’m high on Burke and love what we’ve seen from him, even though it’s only 2 starts. Of course, he’ll have to have a solid Spring to start 2020 in Arlington.?

I’m not good at grading or ranking players, especially when you are comparing all of the top prospects in the system. Maybe that will come later on as put more time into this. I may put out my own list next year with where I think the top prospects should be ranked. This time next year, he will be in the top 5.

Right now, Sherten is ranked at number 10 according to mlb.com and below are some of his stats in 34 games with the Down East Wood Ducks:

.273 AVG, 4 HR, 16 RBI, 22 walks, 37 strikeouts, .398 On Base, .445 SLG and .844 OPS. All of that is in 110 at bats.

If you’re local, keep an eye out in Frisco. There will be a ton of exciting players who will make impacts on the Rangers coming through. Of course we’ll be here to keep you up to date.

Thank you all for the questions for #AskTPTs Mailbag Let’s keep them coming.
