Round Rock, TX - Round Rock catcher Yohel Pozo capped Friday's 3-4 night at the plate with a 2-out bottom of the ninth home run propelling the Round Rock Express (27-23) to a 3-2 victory over the in-State rival Sugar Land Skeeters (27-22). Pozo's ninth homer of 2021 provided a prelude to the post-game fireworks in dramatic fashion as the 24 year-old Venezuelan drove a 3-2, 2-out Ronel Blanco fastball to deep left sending the crowd of 7,043 home happy, but not before more fireworks. Frisco RoughRiders win on Armed Forces Day
It was Armed Forces Day at Riders Field and a beautiful day for baseball. The day saw a season-high 4,747 fans come fill the seats. This was the 2nd start that I have seen of right-hander Tim Brennan. He was cruising through the first two innings. Through two, he had struckout three and had two groundouts and a fly-out. The third inning is the one where things got away a little bit. After a strikeout and a groundout, Centerfielder Ross Adolph hit a single to left and then hit the next batter.

The RoughRiders were handed their first shutout of the season last night after a brilliant start by Winn. A good crowd was on hand, including Colby Lewis, to watch the top pitching prospect in the Rangers farm system. This was my first time to see Cole Winn pitch in person and he didn't disappoint. Most of my time was spent behind the lense of my camera but from my view behind home plate, it seemed that he was getting squeezed on some of his pitches. I was especially impressed when he was able
