The Down East Wood Ducks 2022 roster: Who’s on the team
The Down East Wood Ducks 2022 roster was announced with 31 players which incudes: 17 pitchers (4 LHP), 3 catchers, 6 infielders, and 5 outfielders. Fifteen players return to play for Down East.
Their first game will be against Carolina Mudcats for a 3-game road series April 8th before coming home for the Home Opener series against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers.
The only player ranked in the Texas Rangers Top 30 prospects is Maximo Acosta.
Last season (2021) the Wood Ducks had a record of 72-48 and won their division. They lost the Championship in game 5 to the Charleston RiverDogs (Rays). At this point, they look to be in good position to compete again for the championship.
