The Frisco RoughRiders 2022 Roster: Who’s on the Team?

The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, are coming off a successful 2021 season. First year manager Jared Goedert led the team to a 64-55 record and although they missed the playoffs, they won their Division. Now, the RoughRiders are looking to build on that and make a run at the Texas League title in 2022. The list of players who will be wearing a RoughRiders uniform this season is as exciting and talented a group you’ll find in all Minor League Baseball. The Rangers announced their break camp rosters today (3/21/2022). Here’s the Frisco RoughRiders 2022 roster.

Pitchers (16)

Grant Anderson | RHP

Tim Brennan | RHP

Lucas Jacobsen | LHP

Zak Kent | RHP

Chase Lee | RHP

Age: 23 | Height: 6’0 | Weight: 170 | Draft: 6th Rd 2021

Lee is on the fast track to the majors and is fun to watch with his side arm delivery. Batters can have a difficult time picking up the ball out of his hand. In 2021 he logged 17 innings in Double-A Frisco where he struck out 27 batters and issued only 3 walks.

By all accounts, Leiter comes as advertised. He will start his professional career on Saturday April 9, 2022 at Riders Field.

Duran is currently ranked number 6 on our Rangers top prospects list. The Rangers acquired Duran as part of the Joey Gallo trade. He had an excellent showing in the Arizona Fall League with his line of .278/.333/.611/.944 with 3 home runs and 12 RBI. He’s had a spring so far in 2022 hitting for an OPS of 1.125 with a HR and 4 RBI.
