Two Rangers Prospects Take Home Weekly Awards

The Texas Rangers farm system had a big week last week, with two prospects taking home league-wide weekly honors for the week of July 6-12th. Yesterday, it was announced that Rafe Perich of the Frisco RoughRiders earned Texas League Player of Week and Evan Siary of the Hickory Crawdads earned Carolina League Pitcher of the Week honors.

Rafe Perich: Texas League Player of the Week

Rafe Perich

Rafe Perich was named the Texas League Player of the Week, and after the kind of week he just had, it's hard to imagine him sticking around Double-A much longer.

Over the course of the week, Perich hit an incredible .423/.464/1.000/1.464 slash line, blasting 4 home runs and driving in 6 RBIs. His 4 home runs led the entire Texas League for the week.

This makes the third time a RoughRider has been named either Player of the Week or Pitcher of the Week in 2026, a sign of the organizational depth the Rangers currently have in Frisco.

Season stats for Perich:

Batting line: .313/.407/.633/1.040

Home runs: 21 (leads the entire Texas Rangers organization)

RBIs: 65

With his power numbers leading not just the Texas League but the whole Rangers farm system, Perich has to be on the radar for a promotion to Triple-A soon.

Evan Siary: Carolina League Pitcher of the Week

RHP Evan Siary, 22, turned in a dominant start for the Crawdads against the Augusta GreenJackets, earning him Carolina League (A) Pitcher of the Week honors.

Siary was dominant on the mound, throwing 6.0 shutout innings, allowing just 3 hits, and striking out 10 batters — a new career high. He needed just 71 pitches, 53 of them for strikes, to get through his outing.

Season stats for Siary:

Record: 3-2

ERA: 3.39

Innings pitched: 71.2

Walks: 15

Strikeouts: 61

WHIP: 1.144

Siary is one to watch as he climbs through the Rangers' pitching pipeline.

Two weekly awards in one week is a strong signal of the talent currently developing throughout the Rangers system — from Perich's power surge this season in Double-A to Siary's dominance in Single-A. Both players are trending in the right direction, and if the pace continues, it won't be long before either — or both — are pushing for a promotion.
