Hickory Crawdads right-hander Evan Siary has been named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Month for July after a dominant stretch in the Crawdads rotation.
The 22-year-old posted a 0.92 ERA across 19.2 innings in July, striking out 27 batters and compiling a 0.66 WHIP over the month.
Siary punctuated the award-winning month with his final start of July, taking the ball on July 30th against the Delmarva Shorebirds. The right-hander carried a no-hitter through 5.1 innings, generating 11 whiffs and racking up 7 strikeouts on 85 pitches (55 strikes) in the outing.
The Carolina League honor comes on the heels of an earlier Pitcher of the Week nod and adds to a strong 2026 campaign for Siary, who is in his second professional season after Texas selected him in the 8th round of the 2025 MLB Draft out of Mississippi State University. In May, Siary was named Rangers Minor League Pitcher of the Month after posting a 2.36 ERA across 5 starts that month.
On the season, Siary is 4-2 with a 3.21 ERA across 17 starts for Hickory, with 73 strikeouts and a 1.09 WHIP over 81.1 innings.
Numbers-wise, July was Siary's strongest month of the season. He posted a 4.24 ERA over 17.0 innings in April, followed by a 2.36 ERA over 26.2 innings in May. He had a 6.00 ERA over 18.0 innings in June before his absolutely dominant 0.92 ERA mark over the 19.2 innings in July.
Against left-handed batters, Siary has allowed a .241/.295/.525 line (.820 OPS) this season. Right-handed batters are hitting .225/.265/.239 against him (.504 OPS).
