The Texas Rangers announced their Minor League Award winners for July. Four players were recognized: Player of the Month, Starting Pitcher of the Month, Defender of the Month, and Reliever of the Month.
Player of the Month: Arturo Disla - Frisco
Arturo Disla, known around the system as "The Buffalo," was named Texas Rangers Minor League Player of the Month after a July that Double-A pitching simply couldn't handle. The 6'2", 240-pound first baseman slashed .337/.434/.651/1.085 with 5 home runs and 23 RBIs in 23 games — the most RBIs he's produced in a single month all season.
It's the second time this year Disla has taken home this award. He was also named Texas Rangers Minor League Player of the Month in April after slashing .372/.474/.654/1.128 with 5 home runs and 19 RBIs at High-A.
Between High-A and Double-A this season, Disla is hitting .307/.399/.544/.943 with 19 home runs and 78 RBIs. The RBI total is already a career high, and he sits one home run shy of a new career best.
The Texas Rangers signed Disla as a free agent on July 24, 2023.

Starting Pitcher of the Month: Evan Siary - Hickory
RHP Evan Siary, 22, was named Carolina League Pitcher of the Month after a dominant July for Hickory. He went 2-0 with a 0.92 ERA across 19.2 innings, walking just 5 while striking out 27. His WHIP for the month sat at 0.661, and he averaged 12.4 strikeouts per nine innings.
On the season, Siary has a 3.13 ERA over 86.1 innings with 20 walks and 79 strikeouts, and a 1.077 WHIP.
The Texas Rangers drafted Siary in the 8th round of the 2025 draft.
Defender of the Month: John Taylor - Round Rock
INF John Taylor, 25, converted all 71 of his defensive chances in July — a level of consistency made more notable by the fact that he did it while playing six different positions: third base, second base, first base, center field, shortstop, and left field. Taylor is currently riding a 56-game errorless streak.
At the plate for Round Rock, Taylor is slashing .250/.381/.426/.808 with 6 home runs and 38 RBIs in 50 games. For the season, including his time with Frisco, Taylor is slashing .282/.415/.467/.882 with 12 home runs and 67 RBIs.
The Rangers signed Taylor to a minor league contract on June 26, 2025.
Bennie Bullock
Reliever of the Month: Owen Proksch - Hub City
LHP Owen Proksch, 22, earned Reliever of the Month honors after a July out of the Hub City bullpen in which he posted a 0.75 ERA over 12.0 innings, walking 3 and striking out 21 (15.8 SO9).
Since being officially promoted to Hub City on June 24, Proksch has a 0.47 ERA in 19.1 innings with 6 walks and 29 strikeouts through August 8. He made one earlier appearance for Hub City on May 10, a result of the clubhouse fire at Hickory's visiting facility that day.
For the season, Proksch is 4-0 with a 1.76 ERA across 46.0 innings between Hickory and Hub City, with 13 walks and 62 strikeouts. He was the Rangers' 9th round pick in 2025.
