Los Quesos rally late for a 4-3 victory

The Frisco RoughRiders, playing as the Los Quesos Frisco, took down the Tulsa Drillers 4-3 on Thursday night from Riders Field.

Trailing 2-0 into the fifth, the Riders rallied to win their much-needed second game in a row with the post-season on the line.

Los Quesos got an outstanding outing from Cody Bradford and good relief pitching from Justin Slaten (H,3) who went 2 innings walk 2 strikeouts. And Grant Wolfram (S,2) who went 2 innings 2 hits, run, walk.

24-year-old Cody Bradford (W, 9-7) went 5 innings allowing only 2 runs on 2 hits, a walk and 10 STRIKEOUTS!

Los Quesos trailed 2-0 until the bottom of the 5th when they scored 4 runs thanks to 3-run homer from Trevor Hauver, his 4th of the season. That was followed by an RBI-single off the bat of Jonathan Ornelas scoring Miguel Aparicio.

With this victory Frisco extended their lead to 1.5 games up on Midland who was rained out.

Game 4 of this 6 game series is tomorrow with first pitch set for 6:35 PM Central. RHP Mason Englert (1-0, 1.80) is set to make his home debut for the RoughRiders against LHP Lael Lockhart (1-1, 4.97) and the Tulsa Drillers.
