Josh Jung hit a home run in his 1st MLB at bat
The Texas Rangers top position prospect, Josh Jung hit a home run in his 1st MLB at bat. His first at bat came in the bottom of the 3rd inning when he hit lead off blasted the home run on a 1-2 count. It went a projected 388 feet.
Jung now becomes the 2nd player in Texas Rangers history to hit a home run in their first MLB at bat.
The first player to accomplish that feat was Jurickson Profar nearly 10 years ago on September 12, 2012 against Cleveland. Profar was also the Rangers’ number one prospect at the time.
The Texas Rangers added Jung to their taxi squad yesterday and officially purchased his contract today.
Jung’s home run will be the highlight of the game no matter what else happens. Welcome to the big leagues Josh!
