Welcome to The Farm Report. This is a weekly series that will highlight performances for each team throughout the entire Texas Rangers farm system for the week. The Farm Report for week May 17- 22 AAA Round Rock (26-16) The Express went 5-1 for the week. Josh Smith, 24, hit for a .389 average with 4 RBI, 3 walks and 2 stolen bases. On Strike Out Cancer night RHP Zak Kent (0-1, 5.23) opened for the Frisco RoughRiders this afternoon against RHP Julio Robaina (0-2, 9.90). RHP Justin Slaten followed. The Riders needed a win to split the series at three-games a piece. Hooks batter Justin Dirden hit the first pitch from Zak for a leadoff double. Cole Ragans earned 4th win behind Harris' 2 HR game

The RoughRiders have found themselves in a three-game losing streak and have the best pitcher on the mound to help them snap it. Left-hander Cole Ragans, who has perhaps been the best pitcher in the entire Texas Rangers farm system this season. Ragans had a 1-2-3 top of the 1st on 13 pitches, 8 for strikes with two strikeouts. Tonight was the 3rd time in 5 games that the RoughRiders have scored first. They found the scoreboard in the bottom of the 1st when Justin Foscue scored on a wild pitch.

It was Friday and it was Leiter-day instead of Saturday as we're accustomed to. The RoughRiders seem to shifting the pitching rotation now that the players are more steched out and may be going to 5-man rotation with guys piggybacking. Despite the RoughRiders hitting four home runs and Trey Hair pulling off a hidden ball trick, the RoughRiders fell to the Hooks by a final of 9-5. Left-hander Cody Bradford got the start for the RoughRiders against right-hander Jose Bravo for the Hooks. Prior to the game, Tim Brennan was added back to the roster. After winning game one on Tuesday, the RoughRiders dropped game two of the series with the Corpus Christi Hooks by a final of 7-5 in front of a crowd of 3,185. The RoughRiders move to 20-15 while the Hooks move to 13-22. Left-hander Avery Weems made his fifth start of the season. It was perhaps his best start of the season. Rangers announce minor-league Players of the month: April

The Texas Rangers announced their Minor League Players of the month for April today! Player of the Month Round Rock’s 23 year old OF Leody Taveras is the Rangers player of the month for April. Leody played in 19 games in April slashing a line of .377/.391/.635/1.026 with four home runs, 12 RBI and 3 stolen bases. The RoughRiders won big over the Tulsa Drillers on Sunday. So big, that it was their largest margin of victory in franchise history with the final of 18-4. A 14-run margin of victory. Tulsa Drills RoughRiders for 11 runs

The Tulsa Drillers haven't been kind to the Frisco RoughRiders during the RoughRiders road trip to ONEOK Field. The Drillers drilled the RoughRiders for 11 runs to win by a final of 11-1. Ten runs is the largest deficit of a loss this season. Jack Leiter started for the RoughRiders as they played in their Dallas Black Giants uniforms for the first time this season. Bradford gets 3rd win as Riders win 8-6 over Tulsa

The Frisco RoughRiders won 8-6 over the Tulsa Drillers, the Dodgers Double-A affiliate. Left-hander Cody Bradford made his 6th start of the season for the RoughRiders and 3rd on the road. RoughRiders lose 7-2 to the Tulsa Drillers

The Tulsa Drillers used four pitchers combined to hold the Frisco RoughRiders to two hits today in a 7-2 defeat. Frisco starter Avery Weems (L,1-3) went 4.2 innings giving up 6 hits 3 runs 7 strikeouts  Avery was relieved by Kevin Gowdy! Kevin had a rough day went 3 innings 5 hits 3 homers 4 runs 2 walks and a strikeout!
