On Thursday night it was announced that the Rangers were dealing the DFA'd Right Hander to the Milwaukee Brewers for 21-year-old Lefty Pitcher Mason Molina who was selected in last years MLB draft in the 7th round by the Brew Crew. Rangers Announce July Minor League Award Winners

Blaine Crim - Player of the Month The 27-year-old 1st basemen really found his swing in July slashing a whopping .453/.561/.656. Going up to bat and getting on base better than once every 2 at bats is an astonishing stat in today’s game. He also added in 9 XBH driving in 15 along the way. Another stat to highlight is that he walked 17 times and only struck out 11. If the bat stays hot in August I wouldn’t be shocked if we see him as a September call-up this year. RoughRiders get their 9th shutout victory

The Frisco RoughRiders used  four pitchers to combine for a two-hit shutout victory last night. It was their 9th shutout win of the season. Frisco starter Tim Brennan (W, 5-3) pitched 6 scoreless innings, allowing only 1 hit and striking out 3 on 58 total pitches: 41 strikes to 17 balls. In August in two starts Tim has a 2-0 win-loss record. He's allowed one run in 12 innings pitched 7 hits, ZERO walks and 5 strikeouts. This also makes two quality starts in a row for Tim Brennan. Jack Leiter earns his 1st win

Jack Leiter earned his 1st win of the season after pitching a season-high six innings. The RoughRiders pitching staff put together a complete game shutout for the first time this season as the RoughRiders win 5-0 and move to 16-10. None of that is possible without first acknowledging the brilliant start from Jack Leiter. A season-high in innings and also his 1st without any runs given up, whether earned or unearned. For me the biggest key is that he issued no walks. He only issued a 3-ball coun

RoughRiders dropped both games of DH in Amarillo

The Frisco RoughRiders dropped both games of their double-header to the Amarillo Sod Poodles at Hodgetown. The first game featured plenty of runs for both teams but the RoughRiders lost on a walk-off in 7 innings by a final of 10-9 and that dropped them to 62-52 on the season. Not to alarm anyone but as of now, the RoughRiders are not in the post-season as they sit a 1/2 game behind the Arkansas Travelers BUT they have four games left to play. RoughRiders start last home series with a loss

The Frisco RoughRiders lost 12-7 to the San Antonio Missions. It's definitely not the way they wanted to start their last series at home. On the Mound Left-hander Cole Ragans took the mound to start for the RoughRiders. It definitely wasn't his best outing. He pitched three innings and allowed three earned runs on four hits, three walks and four strikeouts. Even though the Missions had the 3-1  lead after three innings, Ragans wasn't tagged with the loss. Right-hander Grant Anderson (6.75) w

During his seven innings he threw 81 pitches/65 for strikes and allowed 4 hits, 1 BB and struckout 9. It re
