A look at the RoughRiders Series against the Missions
What’s in store for the RoughRiders as they head to Nelson W. Wolff Stadium in San Antonio for their first series on the road against the Missions? We’ll go over some of each team’s numbers and some of what can be expected.
To start, I believe we will see Hans Crouse take the mound soon in some capacity. It likely would be out of the bullpen to protect that arm and ease him back into things. But keep an eye on that.
The Frisco RoughRiders have a 7-4 record on the year with one game to be made up later against the Corpus Christi Hooks (Astros).
The San Antonio Missions have a 6-6 record. Shortstop, CJ Abrams, is the # 2 ranked prospect in the Missions system according to MLB.com and # 8 in all of baseball.
Let’s look at where each team ranks in certain stats.

This will be a 6-game series and will be Tuesday May 18 and go through Sunday May 23, 2021. I can imagine that this is will be an entertaining series as both teams feature top prospects from their organizations. Cole Winn, Davis Wendzel, Hans Crouse just to name a few for the RoughRiders. CJ Abrams, Right-hander Reiss Knehr and infielder Eguy Rosario, just to name a few for the Missions.
The pitching match-ups
Tuesday May 18: Right-hander Caleb Boushley (0-2, 14.21) gets the start for the Missions. The RoughRiders have yet to announce their starter.
